The Chair’s 20 with British Consul General Maria Rennie

We invite you to attend Committee for Perth’s The Chair’s 20 event on Wednesday 17 July 2024, where we are pleased to host the British Consul General for Western Australia, Ms Maria Rennie.

Maria Rennie was appointed as the British Consul General for Western Australia in July 2023 and has been a member of the British diplomatic service since 2002. She has worked in over 25 British diplomatic posts overseas in a variety of roles, and most recently as the Deputy Consul General in Chicago helping lead the UK’s engagement across 14 states of the US Midwest.

The Consul General will provide an insightful update on the relationship between Western Australia and the United Kingdom, and the opportunities and ambitions she has noted since her appointment.

Held in the exquisite dining hall at heritage-listed Lamont’s Bishops House, The Chair’s 20 is a forum where an exclusive group of leaders from Committee for Perth’s Gold and Silver members come together to discuss issues that are critical to Perth’s future.

We hope you can join us for this important conversation to share your business and industry expertise about how we can enable further collaboration and create trade and investment opportunities between Western Australia and the UK.
