Committee for Perth is delighted to announce the appointment of Edith Cowan University Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Clare Pollock to its board for a three-year term.
Professor Pollock recently returned to Perth to guide ECU into a new era as it prepares to open its inner-city campus by 2026, which is anticipated to revitalise the CBD and breathe new economic and social opportunities for the city.
A key leader in Australia’s higher education sector, Professor Pollock is respected for her commitment to equity, student success and research excellence. Most recently, she was pivotal in strengthening Western Sydney University’s role as a place-maker for its region, delivering positive benefits to the community.
Professor Pollock’s expertise and experience will be welcome on the Committee for Perth board with its future-focussed mission to ensure Perth is the best city in the world to live, work, invest, visit and study.
Professor Pollock joins the board following the departure of Fiona Notley, who has left Curtin University to start a new position at RMIT.
