The Chair’s 20 with Rebecca Brown PSM

We are pleased to be hosting Rebecca Brown PSM, at Committee for Perth’s Chair’s 20 event on Wednesday, 8 October 2025.

As the inaugural Director General of Department of Energy and Economic Diversification (DEED), Rebecca brings extensive experience from senior roles across both Federal and State governments. Her leadership expertise spans revenue and economic policy, social policy, resourcing and performance.

Economic diversification remains a key priority for the WA Government. This focus is echoed in our Perth 2050 report, which reveals significant support from residents and business leaders for a more diverse economy – one that fosters investment and trade activity, builds economic resilience, and delivers secure and quality jobs. DEED is playing a central role in Western Australia’s energy transition and long-term economic growth, with its work closely aligned to our vision for a stronger, more diverse Perth economy.

Rebecca will share insights into Perth’s economic outlook and emerging opportunities in sectors such as energy transition, innovation, and advanced manufacturing, as well as how DEED is working to attract global investment into WA.

Held in the exquisite dining hall at heritage-listed Lamont’s Bishops House, The Chair’s 20 is a forum where an exclusive group of leaders from Committee for Perth’s Gold and Silver member organisations come together to discuss issues that are critical to Perth’s future.
