We are pleased to be hosting Rebecca Tomkinson, CEO of the influential peak body for the resources sector, the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME).

Rebecca will talk about Perth’s role in the energy transition and the enormous opportunity of creating a world-leading and sustainable critical minerals sector. As she says, “the pathway to net zero goes straight through Western Australia”.

Rebecca will also share insights on her career, which has taken her from the aged care and banking sectors to running the Royal Flying Doctor Service and becoming the first female CEO of the CME.

Held in the exquisite dining hall at heritage-listed Lamont’s Bishops House, The Chair’s 20 is a forum where an exclusive group of leaders from Committee for Perth’s Gold and Silver members come together to discuss issues that are critical to Perth and Greater Perth’s future.

Rebecca Tomkinson

CEO – Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia

Rebecca Tomkinson is the Chief Executive Officer of The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME), the peak resources sector representative body in Western Australia.

Immediately prior to joining the CME Rebecca was the Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Flying Doctor Service in WA. In her early career, Rebecca worked in local, state, and federal government before transitioning to executive roles in the corporate and community benefit sectors.

Raised in regional WA, Rebecca is deeply committed to the social and economic development of the state and the promotion of its unique and critical role nationally and globally. Rebecca is a current board member of Infrastructure WA, Crown Perth, and the Perth USAsia Centre.
