Future Generations Governance

New Horizons Webinar

Committee for Perth invites you to a New Horizons Webinar featuring Taylor Hawkins, co-founder and managing director of Foundations for Tomorrow, on Tuesday, 1 April 2025.

This member-only session will explore how we can ensure that the interests of future generations are considered in our planning, policies and leadership. Taylor will share insights on the Future Generation Agenda, global best practices, and their relevance to Australian businesses. The discussion will highlight commercial and strategic benefits of embedding a future-focused approach into governance and operations, including ESG, sustainability, and long-term risk management.

Foundations for Tomorrow, is a youth-driven, independent, not-for-profit focused on research, policy development, youth engagement, and global collaboration. Its mission is to instill long-term thinking in governance and decision-making processes, with a focus on three priority policy areas for protecting Australia’s future interests: emerging technology, environmental sustainability, societal well-being. Through its For Our Future campaign, the organisation played a key role in driving the Wellbeing of Future Generations Bill, introduced in Parliament by Dr Sophie Scamps MP in February of this year.

This event is driven by a strong synergy in values between the Foundation for Tomorrow and Committee for Perth. We share a commitment to independent and collaborative decision-making that advocates for future generations and enhanced liveability for all. An interactive online discussion and Q&A session with Taylor will take place after the presentation.

This a member-only online event. Employees from Committee for Perth member organisations can register here.
