Perth Design Week Program Launch

Committee for Perth is proud to launch the program for Perth Design Week 2025 with member host Dexus, at Dexus Place, on Wednesday, 19 February 2025. Be the first to find out what Perth Design Week (PDW) has planned for 2025 and how you can be a part of it.

PDW, now in its 3rd successful year, is modeled after major design festivals in global cities like Melbourne, Milan, London, and New York. From 20-27 March 2025, PDW will showcase the importance of design for Perth and celebrate an array of design disciplines, through an engaging program of talks, exhibitions and gatherings.

Sandy Anghie, Co-Founder and Chair of PDW, says, “Perth Design Week explores design through a lens of purpose, focusing on sustainable design, adaptive reuse, affordable housing and equity, aiming to engage the public in these important conversations.”

An important part of Perth’s event calendar, we hope to see you at the inaugural Committee for Perth PDW 2025 Program Launch event to kick start a week of design in March. Design is all around us.

Our speaker

Sandy Anghie

Co-Founder and Chair of Perth Design Week, Sandy Anghie is an architect with a diverse skill set and professional background.

Following on from a decade-long career as a corporate tax lawyer with leading law and accounting firms, Ms Anghie returned to university in 2006 to pursue her passion and study architecture. Now a decade into her architecture career, she runs her own architecture practice alongside a portfolio of board and volunteer roles. Currently she serves as the President of the Australian Institute of Architects, a board member of the State Library of Western Australia, and volunteers on committees of the Law Society and the National Trust.

Ms Anghie’s passionate advocacy for design and our city has been recognised in awards from the National Association of Women in Construction and the Institute of Architects. She served in the roles of Deputy Lord Mayor and Councillor at the City of Perth from 2020 to 2023.
