The Chair’s 20 with Hon Meredith Hammat MLA

Committee for Perth will welcome the Hon. Meredith Hammat MLA, Minister for Health and Mental Health, as guest speaker at our upcoming Chair’s 20 on Wednesday, 5 November 2025.

As the newly appointed Minister for Health and Mental Health, Hon. Meredith Hammat MLA is leading one of the most complex portfolios in the WA Government, with health accounting for a significant portion of the State’s budget. Her appointment comes at a time of heightened public attention on health system pressures and reform.

Minister Hammat brings a distinctive perspective to one of the most scrutinised portfolios in Government. At this event, she will reflect on her first six months in office, share her priorities for the next phase of her term, and outline what she hopes to have achieved after her first year – including her approach to tackling pressing challenges such as the delivery of health and mental health reforms.

Hosted at Lamont’s Bishops House, The Chair’s 20 offers Committee for Perth’s Gold and Silver members the opportunity for candid discussion in an intimate setting with senior decision-makers. This event will provide unique insights into the Minister’s leadership style, priorities, and vision for Western Australia’s health system.
