Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the future of Perth’s urban landscape with Western Australia’s Government Architect, Emma Williamson, at Committee for Perth’s Urban Insights event on Thursday, 14 November 2024.
The Government Architect plays a crucial role in providing design leadership and strategic advice to improve the quality of Western Australia’s built environments. Emma ensures that good design, best practice and a holistic approach is at the heart of all major and city-changing projects. A task made more challenging by the current housing crisis, rising building costs, higher expenses for infill development and evolving energy efficiency standards.
As a highly credentialled architect, Emma will share her vision for Perth’s urban evolution, including the role of design in key infrastructure projects such as METRONET station, ECU City Campus and other significant CBD projects. This promises to be an insightful and informative conversation about the opportunities for designing Perth’s urban landscape at one of the most challenging times for our building sector.
Committee for Perth’s Urban Insights are city learning journeys. These events explore transformations of precincts and regions, with insights from those who have driven the change.
