Urban Insights: The Western Trade Coast Tour

Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Western Trade Coast (WTC) – Perth’s industrial powerhouse – on Friday, 5 September 2025.

Led by David Harrison, CEO of Kwinana Industries Council, and Warwick Carter, Director of the Perth South West Metropolitan Alliance, this guided visit, running from 11.00am to 5.00pm, will explore key sites driving WA’s next wave of industrial expansion and showcase the region’s capabilities.

Tour highlights include visits to:
• Common User Facility: (CUF), a multi-industry site providing infrastructure to industry on a project-by-project basis
• Westport: future location of WA’s container port and supply chain hub.

Located within a region that includes Premier Roger Cook’s electorate, the WTC and surrounding communities are central to the State Government’s vision to transform Perth’s south west corridor into a Global Advanced Industries Hub. Already contributing $14.8 billion annually to the economy and supporting over 42,000 direct and indirect jobs, the WTC and broader region are being reshaped by major initiatives including Westport, AUKUS, and the growth of battery and future energy industries. These developments are positioning the corridor as a global centre for sustainable trade, advanced manufacturing, and innovation.
