Working Groups: Future Planning Workshop

Building on the insights from our Perth 2050 report, we have refined its 10 priorities into three focus areas – decarbonisation, diversification and densification. To turn these ambitions into action, we are establishing three working groups to collaborate across sectors, with a goal to bring together diverse perspectives to shape thought leadership.

To kickstart this important work, we are excited to launch a future planning workshop on Wednesday, 4 June, for all Perth 2050 working group members to help shape the foundation of the group’s direction and priorities.

To inspire future-focused thinking and set the scene, we are delighted to welcome globally renowned future thinker Jeremy Bentham as the keynote presenter. Jeremy is Co-Chair of Scenarios at the World Energy Council and former Head of Scenarios at Shell. His insights will help shape the context, structure and vision for the Working Groups’ projects in 2025.

Following the keynote, Sander van Amelsvoort – Partner and Strategist at Jester Strategy, will lead a hands-on workshop on applying scenario planning in a practical context to assist working groups in the foundations of future thinking.

This session is an opportunity for working group members to connect and collaborate under the guidance of your group Chair and begin shaping the future of decarbonisation in Perth. The working groups offer an excellent opportunity to contribute your industry expertise, exchange ideas, learn from others and raise your professional profile, to ultimately drive change across the Perth region as we advance towards Perth 2050.
