Rob Cole

Rob is a non-executive director with 40 years’ experience in the energy, resources and infrastructure industries. He is currently Chair of Perth Airport Pty Ltd and a member of Curtin University’s Finance Subcommittee of Council.

His employment history is diverse, including recent roles as Chair of various public and private companies, including Iluka Resources Ltd (ASX:ILU), Perenti Ltd (ASX:PRN), Synergy, Southern Ports and Landgate.

The highlights of his executive career include roles as Executive Director of Woodside Energy Ltd (ASX:WDS), Managing Director of Beach Energy Ltd (ASX:BPT) and Partner in Charge of King & Wood Mallesons in Perth.

Rob’s career changed direction when he joined Woodside as General Counsel in 2006, following a career spanning two decades in the legal profession. During his time at Woodside, he enjoyed a series of promotions and expansions of responsibility, including a promotion to the Board as an Executive Director in February 2012.

In addition to the above roles, Rob has held various not-for-profit roles including Pro-Chancellor of Curtin University, Chair of Australian Energy Producers Ltd and non-executive director of St Bartholomew’s House Inc.

Rob was also a non-executive Director with the Committee for Perth between 2011 and 2015.
