Member Spotlight Experience: Royal Flying Doctor Service WA

Every single day, the Royal Flying Doctor Service in WA retrieves 29 people across the state, the world’s largest health jurisdiction.

Join us on Tuesday, 16 June 2026 at Committee for Perth’s Member Spotlight Experience: RFDS WA, for a behind-the-scenes look at how the organisation makes a practical and positive difference to the health of people living, working and travelling in regional Western Australia.

Following its busiest calendar years on record in 2025, demand for RFDS WA services continues to grow. This is your opportunity to hear directly from CEO Judith Barker ASM about the RFDS WA’s impact on the community and what lies ahead in the lead up to their 100-year anniversary in 2028.

The growing demand for their services reflects the scale of RFDS WA’s profound impact: an independent report by Deloitte estimated that RFDS WA will deliver $4.1 billion in social value over the next 30 years, generated through aeromedical retrievals, remote clinics, telehealth, and its existence value.

You will gain insight into how RFDS WA is navigating the current fuel crisis—marked by rising costs and limited supply— while continuing to deliver essential aeromedical services across the state.

We are also pleased to welcome Daniel Simms, CEO of the City of Cockburn, who will share insights into the growth and potential of the south-west metropolitan corridor. This area is poised to emerge as a major national and global centre, particularly for the shipbuilding and maritime defence industries.

This event will be particularly valuable for members with operations in regional areas, offering insights into the challenges, opportunities, and future of healthcare delivery across Western Australia.
