Committee for Perth was pleased to facilitate a ‘power hour’ lunch with Senator the Hon James McGrath in Perth on Monday, 20 July 2026. Hosted at the stunning offices of Committee for Perth member Arup, the lunch provided an opportunity for discussion about infrastructure and urban planning priorities for greater Perth.
Senator McGrath, the Shadow Special Minister of State, Shadow Minister for Urban Infrastructure and Cities and Shadow Minister for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, was keen to hear guests’ perspectives on a range of federal policy issues. The discussion ranged from City Deals and community connectedness to ‘villages within cities’, transport, roads, housing and the Olympics.
Bringing people together for conversations like these remains important as Perth continues to grow and cement its position as a truly global, connected and liveable city.
